Cruise into The Grand Line

It seems like yesterday when it all began with Bandai’s One Piece Grand Line Battle Vol. 3 bought at a much-inflated cost from Action City at Heeren back in 2003.

That set of gashapon opened the way to the avalanche of miniature figurines that brought my life so much anticipation and glee for the past 7 years or so.

All these years, my love for this hobby blossomed in synchrony with my undying love for Oda Eiichiro’s One Piece series from Weekly Shounen Jump.
Now heading towards their 600th Chapter, One Piece had snowballed into a monster of a series with global fandom which is in the league of their own.

Below is a recent project of mine which I spent weeks just to put up all my OP figurines on the display case to see how far it had grown since that faithful day back in 2003:

Styling, Grand Line Men, POP Mild

More in depth look at the Styling

Some bootleg mini figures on the top, early Grand Battle series

That faithful set that got me started

Start of the OP Collection (SD) series

Into Enies Lobby arc

Steering away from SD, quality improves, price also increases

Sichibukai in their finest moment

OPX DG at the back with Chopperman as well

Now I am just anticipating any upcoming Collection series

Yura Yura, waiting for Super Ships Collection

Thousand Sunny & Impel Down

Sogeking will always remain as the only POP (not Mild) for me

Dragonball Capsule NEO with a touch of OP

Old Morinaga candy toy, very brittle, very sticky, very dirty

Some diorama gashapn sets which should have continued

Old candy toys sold in canisters, only Soul of Figuration set on the far end

A prized item paid at high price to Action City again

Special Effect will always have a place on the shelves

World Collectible Figure...keep it coming

Sick of Sichibukai already?

Into the Strong World...

Notice the empty space on top, it's for more WCF for the rest of the year and the years after

Some of these creatures appeared merely seconds in the movie

Last but not least, Mini Big Head which I hope will never end

In truth, with the amount of OP figuines releasing these days, one can mainly focus on the series and easily filled their display cases, soon all my available spaces will be filled with luminaries of Oda’s universe.

      Hi Marcel,

Your English is pretty good, don’t worry.
Thanks for the compliment on the OP collection.
I have started since 2003 so it is really a labor of love and money of course.

As for collection OP figurines or merchandise, you can click the two links on the sidebar for La Tendo or Angelic Toyz.
I am sure they can offer you items are reasonable prices.

      Cheers

You’re welcome. In fact, to have a collection so large you hate to like a lot of OP. Thanks for the tip. I’ll look the links ^^

P.S: Thaks for talking about my English. I’m very insecure about it. ^^

Yah khanto, prices for such collectibles had been increasing steadily, perhaps a global inflation, just be more selective on what you collect I supposed

This is incredible! I recommend getting a tripod and retaking some of the pictures because they’re a little blurry and not enough to capture so all the awesome.

Seriously, I’m blown away by your dedication.

      Thanks Sapphire,

Think OP merchandize is a dime a dozen these days, should not be too hard to buy though some prices I do not agree upon.
