The OVA series inspired by the pop group Super Cell and done by Studio Ordet and distributed by Good Smile Co. really caught on among the otaku scene.
Before long, the Nendoroid of the eponymous lead character was released.
There was a 50 minute long OVA DVD coupled with this. I most probably would not watch it unless I am utterly bored but by then I would have forgotten about it.
Black★Rock came with 2 alternate faces, a few arms, a seating lower half, a cannon and a whole black katana. And of course that gorgeous tiled base.
B★R loves black and it was telling from her choice of clothing with white as the contrasting highlights.
There were plenty of flesh seen as well but the real captivating feature are those sapphires-like eyes with the right one really emitting an eerie glow.
The massive canister of a cannon was a great complimentary artillery but also serves as a pedestal for B★R to perch upon beautifully.
The aggressive face really compliments with her attacking stance with the katana.
Finally we have a great animated version of a sullen B★R sitting at the edge of the base, well ruffled up with scars on the face, a listless eye which loses its usual glow and a plaster on the head.
If ever I am going to display B★R, it will have to be this setting.
B★R does not come cheap but is still value for money in the assortment of style you can get her into.
